We bring you a dish suitable for vegetarians, for those who want to enjoy a tasty and delicious dish, for those who like to try something special and enjoy the best of the kitchen. Today we share with you a recipe of pudding of chard.
The chard has been a discredited vegetable to prepare a simple, boiled and ready, but there is nothing farther from the truth: the chard has many gastronomic possibilities and possesses great nutritional qualities, in addition to its low caloric value (only 20 kilocalories per 100 grams), by the appreciated amounts of vitamin C, folic acid and potassium. The fiber is also noteworthy among its properties, the fat content is practically nonexistent and lacks cholesterol.
This makes us realize that we are not always aware of what we are eating. I propose to prepare an exquisite pudding, with a vegetable that perhaps now, begins to be used of our cuisine: the chard.

- 2 Chard Tied
- 1 onion
- grated cheese
- White sauce
- 1 egg
In a pot boil the chard, squeeze and then chop. Sauté the onion in a frying pan with lard. Then mix it with the grated cheese, the beaten egg, the salt and pepper to taste and also add the chard.
Butter the mold and add the preparation, which will be covered with white sauce (cream) and sprinkle with grated cheese.
You can also add pieces of cream cheese. Carry oven at moderate temperature for approximately 30 minutes.
- 50 grams of butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1/4 Cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
Melt the butter with the salt in a small container, when the butter has been dissolved completely add (out of the fire) the flour or starch and the milk, stir well until it is well dissolved and put back on the fire. Cook 3 or 4 minutes until thickened add pepper and nutmeg. Serve hot.
