And it was in the Harry´s Bar where this cocktail was born that today we speak to you: the Bellini, put its name in memory of which it was great Venetian painter of the rebirth, Giovanni Bellini. It was Giuseppe Cipriano, owner of the Harry’s Bar in the year 1948, who gave him his name after checking the success of the drink, specially conceived for romantic and elegant moments.

There are different recipes to make the cocktail Bellini, this would be the simple recipe, as is usually done in many places:


  • 1/3 Peach Juice (peach)
  • 2/3 Champagne
However, that is not the original recipe or the lovers of a good Bellini would be taken. So if you want to take a real cocktail Bellini you’re going to need these two ingredients:


  • 1/3 Yellow peach purée
  • 2/3 of an Italian sparkling wine that is made with prosecco-type grapes
To make an authentic presentation, you have to present it very cold and in a cup type Globet, this is, standing tall but calyx wide, and is usually adorned with a wedge of peach on the edge.
