The Café Frappe is a coffee that combines other ingredients such as ice, making it a stimulating and refreshing beverage in turn. We teach you how to prepare Frappe coffee at home.
The origin of the Frappe coffee
Before explaining how you can cook a rich frappe coffee, we want to talk a little of its origin and history. Although it is possible that many would imagine the coffee frappe as a Latin recipe, the authentic history of this recipe of iced coffee moves us to the Greek country.
In this country it is truly popular, usually made with cold instant coffee covered in foam. However, because of the tasty recipe and how well it works hot days (and those who love coffee we can not stop drinking it, even if it is hot), the recipe has been exported to other countries and today it is easy to find different versions of the original Frappe coffee.
The story of how the creator of this drink ended with the idea is funny, as Dimitris Vakondios, looking for what was necessary to make his coffee instantaneous (and without finding it) ran into cold water and a hand mixer during a fair in Thessaloniki. Vakondios was an employee of Yannis Dritsas, representative of Nestlé, who at the fair presented a new product based on mixing cocoa and milk for children.
In a break the employee wanted to have a coffee and not find hot water, decided to take the blender Yannis Dritsas to prepare the one known as the first coffee frappe. The result surprised them and gave rise to one of the most popular drinks of the summer, but I also have to tell you that you can find it throughout the year in some cafes.

Another option is to put some liquid chocolate over or pieces of chocolate, you know that the coffee with this ingredient combines wonderful.
