BAKED BEANS WITH BEER RECIPE

 

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium sweet onion cut into cubes
  • 12 oz. Beer
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 3/4 Cup Molasses
  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard powder
  • 3.99 oz white beans, rinsed
Instructions

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the onion and cook, stirring frequently, until softened for 3-4 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients, except the beans and increase the fire to high. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes or until sauce has thickened. Remove from heat.

 

Combine sauce and beans in a pot of beans (or covered casserole). Cover and cook in the oven for one hour, or until the beans have reached the desired consistency.
