Today we will leave you an ideal recipe for vegetarians: tofu burgers. Tasty and super nutritious, they are an excellent choice when deciding what to eat.
- 400 GR of Tofu
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 1/2 Red pepper
- Soy sauce
- A little flour
- Salt and pepper to taste (and other herbs if you want)
Chop the onion, the cloves of garlic and the half-pepper and sauté in a frying pan with a little oil. Discard excess liquid and reserve in a bowl once they are cooked.
Step on the tofu with a fork until it is crumbled. Add the vegetables and mix. Incorporate two tablespoons soy sauce and a little flour so you can give it body and you can also make it much more intense in its flavor.
To form balls with your hands giving them a similar shape to the burgers, in fact I do them in the same way as with the minced meat but with a little more care. You can batter them in breadcrumbs if you prefer it this way you will get more crispy and for example similar to those of a well-known fast food chain that you know for sure.
You can cook them fried in a frying pan with oil or baked, grilled. Cook on both sides and serve with bread or salad.
If you want the tofu is much tastier in its texture I recommend that after buying it and remove it from the package freeze. Wrap the tofu in aluminum foil, and you freeze it. The next day he takes out the package hours before cooking the tofu and you will see that the freezing removes the water even more getting a more chewy and fleshy texture.
