BEET AND PALM HEARTS SALAD RECIPE

This beet and palm-hearted salad is ideal for summer with the overwhelming warmth that begins to feel in Spain. It’s that it’s Ben Fresh, tasty and full of energy. Ideal for picnics, as a light lunch or to accompany any meat. Easy to prepare and those recipes that everyone likes!

 

 

 

Beet and palmetto Salad – ingredients

This recipe with these ingredients is for six people, discover what you need to make the beet salad and palm Hearts:
  • 400 gr of fresh and well ripened beets
  • 250 gr of palm hearts (if canned should be weight without liquid)
  • 2 cups water

To make a vinaigrette:

  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 4 tablespoons vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons of water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mustard

Preparation of the Beet and palmetto Salad – Step by step

 

Wash the beets well and cut the stalks. Put in a pressure cooker (preferably) with the water and cook for half an hour. Beets must be tender but firm.

 

Drain the beets and let it cool. Once cold peel and cut into 1 cm side cubes.

 

Apart we will drain the palms. Cut them every 1 cm (if you want you can remove the center to form rings).

 

Put both ingredients in a bowl and mix a little.

 

To prepare the vinaigrette we will put in a processor all the ingredients and we will grind for a few minutes until they are integrated.

 

Decorate the salad with the vinaigrette and serve fresh. A special treat for this summer!
