One of the ways to prepare this ingredient in a delicious and attractive way for all types of diners, both children and adults, are quinoa burgers. You can also use it instead of rice or make salads chilly at home with it.


Making quinoa burgers is a really simple and easy thing to do. It is important to note that the flavor of the quinoa is very soft, so the flavor of the same is going to bring the extra ingredients that we throw.


Quinoa Burgers: Ingredients

  • 150 Gr. Quinoa
  • 300 water
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 purple Onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 carrot
  • Rocket
  • 1/2 Leek
  • Flour
  • Seed Muffins
  • Mayonnaise sauce (optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Quinoa Burgers: Preparation


First we will prepare the quinoa and, for this, the first recommendation is that you look at what steps you indicate in the package you have and follow it to detail. That’s right, first you have to wash the quinoa under the water and then cook. In our case, they are 10 minutes cooking in water with salt (to taste) and then 5 minutes of rest.


Once you have it, put it in a wringer to lose all excess water and while cooling we will prepare the rest of the ingredients.


Peel the carrot and cut in very fine dice; We will do the same with the garlic clove, it has to go very chopped.


Likewise, clean the leek by cutting the base (where the root) and with the tip of the knife pass through the first layers, which we will throw. Cut the half lengthwise and chop finely. Reserve.


Put the quinoa in a bowl and pour these three ingredients with a pinch of salt on top. Stir and toss the egg along with two tablespoons of flour (wheat, oats, rice … whatever you like), remove until everything is well integrated. In the event that you see that the dough is still very humid, incorporating flour but very little by little.



With a spoon you can help yourself to take the same portions of hamburger and shape it with your hands or a mold, as you like.


Place a frying pan in the fire with a little oil and, when hot, toss the hamburger. You will see that it is going to take a beautiful golden color and it takes little to be done, so turn it around when you have caught the gold you like.


Once you have them, put them on a plate with kitchen paper to absorb the surplus fat.


Open the buns and mount the burger to your liking. We’ve done it in this order: a little mayonnaise at the base of the bread, arugula leaves, purple onion strips, hamburger, Machado avocado with a little salt, fresh tomato slices and a little salt.
